World-Leading AI Confidence: Middle East Outpaces Global Peers in AI Training and Readiness, Accenture Research Shows

As 2026 gets underway, Middle Eastern organizations are demonstrating global leadership in Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption. According to the latest Accenture Pulse of Change research, the region leads the world in employee AI confidence and leadership communication. However, while revenue expectations remain high, a critical “execution gap” remains, with the region facing the highest global concern regarding skills shortages.

Accenture’s Pulse of Change survey reflects insights from 3,650 C-suite executives and 3,350 workers globally. In the Middle East, the findings reveal a region that is “ready but waiting”: while 83% of leaders have a positive perception of Gen AI (compared to 82.6% globally), the region ranks among the lowest for actual job role redesign.

Key Regional Insights:

  • Leads Globally in Workforce Readiness: The Middle East stands out as the most AI-prepared region globally:

  • 73% of the workforce is ready for AI training, significantly higher than the 51% global average.
  • 44% of Middle Eastern employees feel confident using AI, vs. 29% worldwide.
  • Regional leadership is the most transparent globally regarding AI’s impact (26% vs. 17% worldwide).
  • The region ranks second globally for job security (56% vs 45%), highlighting a unique “human-first” approach to AI.

  • The Revenue-Change Paradox: Optimism is high, but the pace of internal transformation is measured:

  • 89% anticipate revenue growth, consistent with the region’s strong economic momentum.
  • 78% expect higher levels of external disruption in 2026—notably lower than the global average of 82%, suggesting a more stable but cautious transition.
  • 83% of organizations plan to increase AI investment this year.

  • Critical Challenges: The “Skills Gap” and Job Redesign: Despite high readiness, structural barriers could limit long-term ROI:

  • 47% of Middle Eastern leaders cite AI skills gaps as their top barrier to change—more than double the global average of 22%.
  • Only 3% of organizations are actively redesigning job roles for an AI-enabled era, compared to 6% globally.

Axis Communications to Introduce Multi-layered solutions with AI-powered classification across large areas

Axis Communications announced the upcoming launch of two innovative radars. Each powerful device delivers 180° or 270° horizontal field of detection with accurate AI-powered classification across large areas in all weather and light conditions, 24/7. Their deep integration with selected Axis PTZ cameras enables radar-video fusion technology, adding an extra layer to strengthen a video surveillance system with enhanced surveillance capabilities and optimal performance.

AXIS D2122-VE Radar offers a wide 180° horizontal field of detection and is ideal for mounting on walls or fence lines. It can recognize humans at a distance up to 140 m (460 ft) in an area of 20,000 m2 (215,300 ft2). The other product, AXIS D2123-VE Radar, offers an astounding 270° horizontal field of detection and can recognize humans in an area of 30,000 m2 (323,000 ft2)*. It’s ideal for mounting on poles or corners. Both radars use unique box-shaped detection and recognition zones to simplify coverage planning and system design.

These radars work either as standalone devices or integrated with selected ARTPEC-9 PTZ cameras, providing seamless operations with accurate visual verification and automatic tracking. This integration also enables radar-video fusion technology, where AI-powered radar analytics are combined with video analytics in the PTZ camera to minimize false alarms. The two devices are integrated through edge-to-edge radar pairing, and all configurations are handled through the PTZ camera. Therefore, only one IP address and one VMS license are needed. It’s also possible to set up double-knock verification, where both radar and video analytics need to confirm the detection and classification before triggering an event. This multi-layered approach results in maximum efficiency with more enriched data and better decision-making tools for security guards and operating personnel.

Key features include:

  • Outstanding 180°/270° horizontal field of detection
  • Classify objects over expansive areas
  • Box-shaped detection and recognition zones for efficient coverage
  • Deep integration with selected PTZ cameras
  • Possibility for radar-video fusion technology

These radars offer great flexibility. They’re compatible with various Axis devices, such as panoramic cameras and strobe speakers, making it easy to adapt to changing security requirements. Furthermore, they’re easy to mount, and thanks to their low power consumption and support for PoE out, they’re ideal for mobile surveillance or off-grid installations where power availability is limited.
